Funky Barcelona |
Jorge and I would also like to see more of London. The few days we spent there on our other trip barely scratched the surface.
So far, it has been just talk as we waited to see where Ally might be working and when she'd qualify for time off to take a vacation. Now that she's working, she's put in for vacation time for Sept. 13-27, 2012. That's after the London Olympics and the Washington State primary election and before the general election and M2's 82nd birthday bash in Peru. Ally is learning that when you work in news, you work your time off around major news events, like elections.
We also have to take our best guess at when Barcelona might be playing at home, as we need to book our tickets with the frequent flyers miles before the 2012 schedule comes out. We plan to book tickets into London, and depending on the soccer schedule will either start in London or hop to Barca right away.
I've got enough Alaska Airlines miles to get tickets for Ally and myself on partner airline American, while Jorge has enough miles on his American account for his ticket. Once Ally gets her vacation days confirmed, we'll book 'em (Danno!).
